Requirements To Be Part Of The Travel Pros Team

  • ​​Minimum of two years experience as a Travel Advisor
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality and Travel or have passed the TAP Test
  • Have a loyal following and client base
  • In - depth knowledge of domestic and foreign travel destinations
  • Excellent sales and interpersonal skills
  • ​Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
  • ​Outstanding knowledge of the latest tourism trends
  • ​Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel​

Responsibilities A Travel Pros Independent Advisor

  • ​Plan details for travel including accommodations, transportation, and activities
  • Work with clients to determine their traveling needs
  • Guide clients on the appropriate styles of accomodations, transportation, and activities
  • Comprehend and execute vendor terms and conditions
  • ​​​​Stay current on country travel guidelines, requirements, and restrictions
  • Stay current on airline, cruise line, and tour company's terms and conditions
  • Keep client payment calendar for deposit and final payments​
  • Stay current with tourism by attending fams, seminars, webinars
  • Advise of proper travel requirements needed
  • Contacting supplier if there are questions
  • Invoicing the client
  • ​​Maintain client information and financial records
  • Collect payments and fees
  • ​​​Resolve travel issues, complaints and refunds
  • Meet sales targets and profit goals​​
  • Send Thank You Cards
  • Ask for reviews, referrals and suggestions
